List of NPCs & Threats

Minas Tirith/Gondor

Tinneas & Alona Halbarad- farmers who stumbled upon the crypt.

Thorn- their son who joined the king’s army. You were tasked to deliver the family heirloom sword.

Olaf- owner of The Lonesome Coach.

Tina- barmaid.

Torg (died)- leader of the thugs who wanted the treasure for themselves.

Captain Axel- captain of the Bridge Guards.

Feyrun (escaped)- leader of the Corsairs of Umbar pirates.

Lord Faramir & Lady Eowyn: sitting in for King Elessar who traveled to the Shire.

Calanhir- ranger who was with Belemir when they came upon Orcs with a shard.

Calanlas- brother to Calanhir who traveled with Belemir in possession of the shard.

Belemir (corrupted by the necklace)- ranger leader who carried the shard to King Elessar in the Shire.

Ark Royal Cog

Crew: Captain Tansden (died in wreck), 1st mate Earl, Ivory, Cook.

Rian (reported killed but no body)- pirate thief who stabbed Cook and poisoned the food.

Feyrun returns (killed by Theo’s arrow)- captains the pirate ship that tries to capture and kill the group.

Eryn Vorn coast/shipwreck

Granthar- griffon that came to feast on the dead from the shipwreck.

Captain Elaine (escaped sailing her ship away)- leader of the Haradrium pirates.

Wose- ancient tribe of nomadic Ruatani who guard their own shard.

Barad Cam- dwarven stronghold ages ago.

Maxin- escaped lighthouse worker who fell in the ant-lion trap. Left him in Grey Haven.

Grey Haven- where the elves sail to their Valhala (?).

Thorn Halbarad- gave him his family heirloom sword.

Cirdan the Shipwright- elf scholar who soon learned the shard he protected was gone.

King Elessar- Aragorn.

Elfwine Éomer- has become the new King of Rohan, per his father’s recent death.

Morgoth- the first Dark Lord.

Sauron- originally a Maia (wizard), corrupted by Morgoth. Fell when Isildur cut the ring from his finger and when he fell, his amulet shattered into 6 shards.

Caelindur- daughter of Sauron who has returned from the east as the new Dark Queen.

Wizards- Sarumon (corrupted by Sauron), Gandolf, Radagast, the blue wizards (Alatar & Pollando).

Radagast (the Brown)- appeared as he stepped thru a wall to talk with the new fellowship.

Silent “dog” whistle will summon Gwaihir the great eagle.

Fornost (also known as Norbury)- fell 1,000 years ago during the War of the Alliance.

King Arvedui- last king of the Arthedain realm (TA1974).

Lonetree (Ent)- just happened to be at the dry riverbed that flash-flooded.

Palantir (stones of Far Seeing)- There were 7 of them, used to communicate over long distances.

Calanlas’ body- his diary and sword he asks you to deliver to his father in Alatopel.

Rufus Took- captain of the Green Archer Company of Hobbits.

Gishak (killed)- Orc leader.

Bree-

Rymen Butterburr- owner/barkeep of the Prancing Pony Inn.

Oatden- his 9yo son.

Aine Sandheaver- barmaid and sometimes cook.

Faramir Took I (son of Peregrin Took)- new Thain of the Shire.

Weldon Underhill- down on his luck dye merchant, who is later kidnapped.

Dusty- his 9yo son.

Dwarf wagon on the road- traveling to the Lonely Mountains

Vig- eldest; once a blacksmith, now a tinkerer.

his simple-minded brother Vogar (skull split).

sons Narvig & Narvi.

Elvira Took- accused Margo of being a horse thief.

Weldon’s kidnapping

Brandel- leader of the thugs.

Urian- thug left behind per broken ankle.

Falcor- warehouse owner who fired most Breeman and replaced them with seasoned warriors.

Harslan’s Tomb- led his band of Hobbits who hid their shard.

Siarl- killed by Harslan, now a wight haunting his crypt.

Twyc Greenleaf- Bree’s sheriff and stern judge, know as the Reave.

Warehouse- putting an end to Falcor’s operations.

Dusty & Oatden rescued along with Thorn & Calanhir.

Bedtime Story

Bardwyn- Minstrel who tells The Folly of Wizards and King.

Dorwinion- land to the far east near the Sea of Rhun.

Far-walker (Pallando)- created the Rod and Throne.

Radagast- spared by the intervention of Alatar.

All-seer (Alatar)- mortally wounded by the Goblin-King.

The Forsaken Inn

Jack- new owner by right of “finder’s keepers”.

Thak & Wack- Ettin heads.

Bandits

Maura (captive) & Kier (killed)- leaders of the ambush.

Cormag- ruthless human leader of the Amon Sul operation.

King Arveleg- defender of Amon Sul those 1,000 years ago.

Damrod- ghost who made you promise to bury his bones in the cairn.

July 27 th : As the eagles flew towards Alatopel, Khalin finally woke, “ We can’t leave! Kyan was right; my brother Glom IS still alive !! Having seen such great eagles patrolling over his Beorning valley, Theo stepped forward for introductions. A7S1 – Banished Son

[From the scenario  The Doom of Arnulf , by Dean Paolillo] July 21 st : They witnessed Lord Arnulf’s ‘return to the living’ when his son Calanhir placed his brother Calanlas’ sword in his father’s hands. After a long-awaited family reunion, Lord Arnulf called the strangers forward, “ Will you honor an old man’s request? I speak to you not as a lord of my people, or with the authority of my lineage but simply as a father. Seek out my children Deoch and Malbeth and bring them to me before I draw my last breath . I must have been spelled to banish my son Malbeth. Spelled indeed to let my wretched nephew Cardoc steal away my daughter Deoch. I need my son Calanhir at my side to lead the defenses of Alatopel.
